03/07/2025

The FAO Transparency Portal is growing – with a revamped landing page and new datasets to explore – in direct response to Members’ requests. This latest update features an enhanced Project Dashboard and an all-new Programme, Budget, and HR Dashboard – offering greater insight into how the Organization allocates and utilizes both Regular Programme and extrabudgetary resources.

“The Transparency Portal provides a comprehensive picture of the results we have achieved with the support of our Members and partners,” said Deputy Director-General Beth Bechdol. “These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability by providing a better understanding of how and where FAO uses resources entrusted to us.”

What’s New?

Enhanced Project Dashboard

The Project Dashboard visualizes FAO’s operational footprint, with dynamic access to data on project distribution by the four betters, region, country, funding source, and thematic area.

NEW DASHBOARD: Programme, Budget, and Human Resources

Built directly from governing body documents presented to Members, a new Programme, Budget and HR dashboard dramatically improves accessibility and usability of data on how FAO plans and manages its budget and workforce. Using dedicated tabs on the dashboard, users can drill down into the details on FAO’s Programme of Work and Budget, workforce profile, and Programme Implementation Review for data on programming, staffing, and expenditures.

A revamped Transparency Portal landing page

A streamlined layout allows for easier navigation and faster access to the information that matters most. The Transparency Portal offers data and insights into FAO programmes, projects, budget, workforce, and accountability reports — showing the world how FAO’s work is making a difference.
