***Call for Nominations: Recognition of Outstanding Contributions to South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC)***

In celebration of its 80th anniversary in 2025, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is launching a special recognition to honour outstanding contributions to South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC). This initiative highlights successful partnerships, innovative solutions, and good practices that have significantly advanced food security, agricultural transformation, and sustainable development.

Selected nominees will be recognized during the World Food Forum (WFF) in October 2025.

Recognition Categories

The technical recognitions will be given in the following four domains:

1.       Countries Championing SSTC, demonstrating exceptional commitment to the advancement of SSTC (both host countries and provider countries can apply).

2.       Institutions Advancing SSTC, government and non-government organizations, academic and research institutes, centres of excellence, think tanks, etc., exhibiting outstanding dedication to progress on SSTC.

3.       Outstanding SSTC Projects, showcasing significant impact in improving food security, agricultural development, and/or rural livelihoods through SSTC.

4.       Individuals Championing SSTC, demonstrating excellence in implementing SSTC programmes and fostering knowledge exchange.

Selection process and timeline

Eligible nominees

FAO invites nominations on demonstrated contributions to SSTC in line with FAO Strategic Framework 2022-31, FAO’s four SSTC principles and strategic focus areas and the above four domains, at the local, national or global level.

Submissions are open until 31 July 2025. Late or incomplete nominations will not be considered.
